Marriage... God Style - Pt. 1 - Opening 06/16/2009
 The disentigration of the family is the most devastating internal issue facing our nation in general and urban America in particular. Families touch every area of society; their strenghts and weaknesses, to a large degree, determine the strengths and weaknesses of churches and communities. If there is a weak male leadership in the home, the same will be true in the church. If children are rebellious in the home, the same will apply is schools and on the streets. Foundationally, strong families are strong marriages. Put another way, failed marriages cannot produce the unified, enduring families needed to sustain our troubled society. When children grow up in loveless homes, they don't learn the crucial lessons necessary to develope good self-images now and to build strong marriages for themselves later. When children see their fathers coercing submission from their mothers through fear and intimidation, they learna warped definition of manhood and womanhood, which often results in poor behavior and communication. It has been some time since I fumble with this site... hoping to get something up and running, something active. I've hesitated some bit trying to figure out what my objective would be; what message would I convey. Would it be love within my relationship with God or my beautiful fiancee? Would it be in serving the homeless? Would it be daily activities and randomness, etc? So I just decided then that it would be a blogsite that would encompass all of this and more - with a set "objective" of sharing some thoughts, a few comments, and random articles pertaining to love or the lack therof.
